I’m continually blown away by what people don’t know or understand about Jewish people
Coming up this weekend
#Autism and the #Menstrual Cycle Free Discussion Group this Saturday, October 17! Sign up here: www.patriceriley.com/autistic-pre... Connect, learn, and be in community. We are reading from Wild Power by Alexandra Pope and Sjane Hugo Wurlitzer. All who menstruate or have menstruated are welcome!
I'm an AuDHD peer-support coach working in the community since 2006. This workshop isn't selling to sell you anything - it's pay as you can. We work on tools and strategies for seeing the world thru a new lens and advocate for ourselves. www.theautisticcoach.com/audhd-group-...
This also goes to my point that #ActuallyAutistic people and their loved ones who support them need to welcome parents of newly-diagnosed autistic children as soon as possible. If they don't, then the cranks and grifters selling snake oil will.
When it comes to autism “treatments” for children, we endorse healthy skepticism. Does an approach make sense, or do you just really, really want to believe it will help? Are there real risks and only possible benefits? More veteran parent advice, at TPGA: thinkingautismguide.com/2025/07/iden...
Gatekeeping is violence.
If you're a late identified autistic adult looking to connect with others, develop tools, and share your experience with people who get it - consider joining my upcoming group. It's open to all autistics and offered on a pay-as-you-can basis. www.theautisticcoach.com/late-diagnos...
people are so full of shit
i love speaking about disability inclusion in the jewish community and also - I wish I didn't have to i wish i could talk about whales and the stam of the yerushalmi and the theology of the geonim but i can't because i'm "the autistic one"
Autistic masking is something that many autistics do to stay safe. It informs much of how we go thru the world. It looks different from person to person. Not all of it looks like “being neurotypical” How one masks doesn’t create a separate or new type of autism. It’s a strategy.
the divine is found in the space between two authentic humans relating to each other on their own terms
Buy lots of books Start reading all of them Finish none of them Shame Buy more books
believe it or not, you're still autistic if you don't find loops helpful
Does it count as Jewish community building if Instagram isn’t there to see it?

People don’t like hard stuff. I can understand why. And, it can often be rewarding. What’s difficult is drawing the line between hard and helpful for growth + hard for no reason that just crushes you.
I host dozens of free support and affirmation circles for autistic adults and I have been doing so on Zoom since 2019, in-person since 2006. www.theautisticcoach.com/autism-discu...
I’ve been supporting my fellow autistic comrades thru their spiritual lives, careers, relationships, and more for twenty years. If you’re looking for a spiritual director and guide, I’d be honoured to work with you too.

Today is 85 years since the massacre at Babyn Yar in Kyiv where over the course of two days, September 29 and 30, 1941, the Germans shot nearly 34,000 of Kyiv’s Jews. The Yiddish writer Itsik Kipnis documented the third anniversary (yortsayt) of the massacre in 1944, when … 1/3
