-ANATOMY OF A POPPY CORNALI-
Poppy is a humanoid chibi-looking character. They have medium length brown hair with spiky ends, two of which resemble horns. Their outfit includes glasses, a white shirt with a grey sleeveless jumper and dark grey (black?) trousers; while they are wearing shoes, the artist chose to simply not draw them by making the entire bottom part of the design the same grey. The most notable thing they are wearing is a poppy red scarf, which is a little torn on the front and on the back it turns into a pair of wings.

The writing reads, from top to bottom:
- Height: exactly 1 meter;
- Flying is an act of pure creativity;
- Nom nom;
- Born: 01/04/2016. The first big mistake scholars made was trying to find the logic of a Poppy.

Having an unfinished fic from years ago be your comfort fic is a different type of frustration. Like yes of course I realistically would never track down the persons socials and offer them 500 dollars just for the promise of one more chapter but I do think about it and wonder if they’d accept.

I like the idea that caspar has a mix of freckles and sunspots and they fluctuate based on the season/sun exposure in his life. Like if he’s in azure moon and in faerghus a lot they’re less prominent due to the climate, for example.

Summary: Claude laughs, pulling Linhardt around to the other side of his wyvern. “Don’t be a brat. We have to make a good impression on Linhardt, or he’ll never let me take him flying.”

Linhardt hadn’t been aware that flying with Claude was on the table. He’s not sure how he feels about it. He’s even less sure how he feels about the idea of Claude needing to make a good impression on him. Of Claude thinking about Linhardt as someone who might not think well of him. Of Claude having a single thing to prove to anyone, much less Linhardt.

He does know how he feels about Claude’s wyvern continuing to bump into them, which is decidedly uncharitable. Finally even Claude loses his balance, and they tumble to the extremely hot ground. For some reason, falling over makes Claude laugh even more.

Linhardt’s going to have to figure out how to get along with this wyvern, or his life is going to get a lot more annoying.

black eagles 2, in which i had a Ton of fun with petra and caspar particularly.

redesign of petra! she wears her circlet and net headdress from three hopes, fancy fringe earrings, and has her hair elaborately braided at the crown, but free and big and curly in the back. i have added a second tattoo to her face, a chin tattoo in a symmetrical line and wave pattern the same colour as her cheek tattoo. she has a thick golden band and twisted gold torc necklace around her throat, matching the torc around her right bicep and the gold bands around both wrists.
she is dressed in a wrapped tunic of desaturated pink with gold and orange trim, with an elaborately tooled leather belt fastening it and a sword at her hip. she is also wearing brown leather leggings and simple shoes of lighter leather, and a large drape of rich purple fabric around her torso and left arm, fastened at her left shoulder with a gold pin. she is so so muscular.

redesign of caspar. he is wearing a landsknecht-inspired outfit in shades of red-brown, with an elaborately slashed jerkin hanging partway open to reveal the teal lining. the sleeves are huge and puffed, the upper parts slashed and teal inner fabric pulled out in puffs, and the skirt of the jerkin is sewn in alternating lighter and darker red-brown. he has even darker pants, which are hugely puffed until just above the knee, and grey-blue leather boots. the boots match his gloves, which have decorative quilting and reach up nearly to his elbows, and his belt, which is tied in a knot behind the silver buckle.
he also wears a big slouchy hat with two big feathers fastened on with a silver medallion. his face is scarred up a bit, and he has stubble - because can he really be bothered to shave every day?

redesign of bernadetta! she's dressed in a short-sleeved purple jerkin with yellow detailing that matches her canon dress, a muted rose doublet with big puffy sleeves tucked into her tan gloves, and dark purple puffy pants. she has a yellow cape over her left shoulder, fastened with a gold brooch and dark pink tassel, a white shirt with a high ruffled collar, and has bows tied just above the grey-lavender cuffs of her dark pink boots. her hair is fluffy and curls around her face. she also has a muted pink hat, with a purple bow pinned on with a gold pin that also holds two brown feathers that fade to white at the tips.

dorothea redesign. she is in an enormously luxurious gown in rich shades of pink, with elaborate silver embroidery on the bodice and waist. her hair is covered at the top with a net of silver and pearl beads, and then elaborately braided and covered with a sheer pink veil. she has silver and pearl earrings as well.
the outer layer of her gown is the rich magenta of her canon outfit, with a massive skirt and sleeves, lined with a pink so dark it's almost black and decorated with ruffles at the shoulders; the second layer is dark pink, and has large sleeves that are slashed to show her white underdress, pulled through the slashes to make puffs. she has a triple-looped chain girdle in silver, with a big silver pendant hanging from one of the trailing chains.
she also has a red sash looped around her torso, pinned with a silver flower-shaped brooch, in a deliberate nod to the current adrestian military style.

beginning with the black eagles here!!!

redesign of hubert. he's wearing a closely tailored doublet in shades of dark grey, dark grey pants that are puffy until just above the knee, black boots with silver trim, a cape, and a halo-brim hat with white feather tips around the brim and a longer white feather curving over the right side. he has black gloves and an ebony cane, and in the detail shots you can see that it's one of those cool sword canes.
he wears a little pair of pince-nez glasses as well, and has a well-trimmed mustache and pointy beard, and his hair tied back into a ponytail with dark red ribbon.
his doublet is fastened at both sides with pale metal clasps, and with large sleeves with decorative darker embroidery. the lower part of the doublet is cut into fancy panes with more silvery-gold detailing. he wears more or less his cape from canon, with the leather straps turned to a cloth sash across his chest. he has a blue leather belt around his waist with a fancy buckle, and then a thinner belt the same colour that holds a pendant with a bright red stone - the detail shots on the right show that it's reversible, with the imperial seal in red and gold on one side, and the vestra seal in dark maroon, blue, and black on the other.

redesign of ferdinand. he is wearing a grey-blue sleeveless jerkin with swirly gold embroidery panels on the front and gold trim, and a darker blue sash across his chest fastened with a gold and ruby brooch. the sash is part of his blue cape, which is trimmed with gold and lined with red. the red matches his large-sleeved doublet, and the huge bow used to tie back his curly hair, which is kind of fucked up at the ends due to him not having had a good haircut in years. white ruffles are peeking out at his neck, and at the top of his boots above bright red boot-bows. his belt, boots, and gloves are all black leather with gold fixings, and he has a sword with a fancy hilt at his waist. he's wearing boot butterflies, which were used to help prevent the straps of spurs from chafing.
ferdinand's face is kind of melancholy.

redesign of linhardt. he's wearing a decorative mantle in dark blue and teal with pale gold detailing, over a doublet and jerkin combo in slightly lighter shades. he has very full teal pants and tall navy boots, and pale brown belts around his waist, one of which is part of his book harness (not visible). he wears little pince-nez glasses and has a glass pen tucked behind one ear, and leans on a pale wooden cane. the book in his harness is a purple tome with elaborate gilt detailing on the front cover, centering on the crest of cethleann.
