The reason people like AI writing more than human writing (this includes awards committees and prestige lit mag editors) is because people like bad writing. Lots of flowery language that doesn't say anything? Adjectives that don't make sense? That's art! I don't understand this so it must be great!

I saw a writer on Instagram talking about how she "only uses AI to correct her grammar and spelling." Girl, you suck. Grammar is part of your writing toolbox, and you should try to learn about it if you care about the written word. You're lazy and you suck.

There's character in my novel (which is currently on sub) who is losing his mind, and in one very surreal moment which includes a hoard of rats, he thinks something like: "how had he not put himself in front of every terrible thing in the world" to stop it? And that's how I feel.

The frustration of listening to these yahoos talk to Faucci as if their opinions are those of the American people. We know that Faucci tried to help us. We know the truth. We are unsafe because of these fascists scolding him.
