Virginia Tech professor and poet, Nikki Giovanni, has died at the age of 81.

Reminding myself to always schedule a spa day the day after Thanksgiving.

An honor to bear witness to Dr. @wilsonokello.bsky.social book talk “On Blackness, Liveliness, & What It Means to Be Human” at Strive Bookstore. Also, loved it happening outside of the sterile conference space in a beautiful Black owned bookstore as Dr. @hallofacademia.bsky.social reminded us.

Adjusting back to normal life after being away from my family for nearly a week. #ASHE24 was beyond what I could have imagined it would be. And as great of a time we had, I know next year is going to be even better. Grateful I get to curate spaces of Black joy—we deserve.

It will never stop being utterly insane to me that Trump fans rioted, shat in the Capitol, smashed windows, battered police and terrorized people nationwide when he was fired by 80 million voters for condemning 1 million to die of COVID then 73 million rehired him and they demand we "come together."
