I heard reporting on NPR yesterday about the negative health effects of sitting, and it reminded me that I should be grateful for having a physical job. Yeah, there's SOME sitting, and some jobs are MORE physical, but it's still way better than SITTING ALL DAY. connect.mayoclinic.org/blog/living-...

I think I've been going through an early stage of mental burnout. Now that I've looked it up, it explains all the fatigue, irritability, and muscle problems I've been having. And I guess the only solution is to NOT overwhelm myself with social bullshit, and to just be alone when I need to.
They finally opened a Playa Bowls here in freaking Kansas! It's in the Prairie Village shopping center in Prairie Village.* @skunkrox.bsky.social and I went there for lunch! I'm way more excited about this than I would be if In-N-Out Burger came to the area.
