Watched Guardians of the Galaxies Vol 1 & 2 on my flight - Disney+ makes the perplexing choice to close caption Vol 2 with the titles of each needle drop, even going so far to caption the lyrics of “Father and Son” but the 1st movie, each song is “(Rock Music Plays)”, seems like something to fix
The crew of Rogue One literally died to save the galaxy only for there to be no merch of them in Disneyland. The disrespect.
I am rewatching WandaVision ostensibly I guess because of VisionQuest coming up and man it was really great when the MCU had writers who respected the significance of ”The Blip”/return of the dusted characters. And Elizabeth Olsen is just so good.

They hurt themselves with a good deal of their committed voter base, and still don’t get the Republican votes they are so fucking obsessed with winning over. Lose-lose! Just saw #Babylon in 70mm. I loved it when I saw it on a cold Jan. 2023 day but this gorgeous showing w/a full enthusiastic crowd was next level.Jean Smart’s monologue killed me & the ending was overwhelming (complimentary). Shout out to the girls who kicked off the applause to Nelly & Fay’s kiss.

Been running the Hadestown OBC soundtrack so much since seeing the proshot a couple weeks ago that my end-of-year summary is likely irrevocably determined.
Went to see The End of Oak Street (🔥😍) starring Anne Hathaway. I come home and watch Anne Hathaway accept her Disney Legend award at #D23. On Saturday I will see The Odyssey in Imax for the third time, starring Anne Hathaway. There is One Actress.
Joking about the mess of a presentation aside, this ride has me legitimately excited

Has anyone done “adjusted for inflation” calculations on Spider-man, Odyssey, etc regarding their box office “records”? Like I enjoyed both and it’s great it’s driving people to theaters but the numbers being higher than older movies when ticket prices have grown *exponentially* feels disingenuous
