February 2026 U.S. Video Game Market Highlights Thread from Circana - Resident Evil: Requiem debuted as the best-selling video game of 2026 as overall spending in February grew slightly when compared to a year ago, reaching $4.6 billion.
Were Resident Evil Generation Pack spending added to the standalone total of Resident Evil: Requiem it would make Resident Evil: Requiem even more the best-selling game of 2026 year-to-date.
Seeing chatter on Resident Evil: Requiem for Switch 2. The game was sold standalone as well as part of the Resident Evil Generation Pack. Combined spending on these two versions would rank #2 on the Nintendo best-selling titles chart for Feb behind the physical only sales of Mario Tennis Fever.

Resident Evil Requiem was an absolute joy from start to finish. It’s like Capcom released 2 highly competent REs simultaneously, given how Requiem flawlessly mixes the series’ signature horror and action elements. Requiem is now my among my top 5 favorite. Well done, @residentevil.capcomusa.com !
