18 months ago we launched Heirs of Slavery - now we have over 250 'heirs' - people whose ancestors gained from transatlantic enslavement. We hold workshops for these people and we support calls for reparative justice. What more could, or should, we do? Link to questionnaire on this page...

Around 200,000 captives were intercepted aboard illegal transatlantic slave ships in the 1800s, mostly by the British navy I wrote about this history in The Last Slave Ships but Jake Richards’ forthcoming book is the one you want to check out Here’s my blurb… /1 yalebooks.yale.edu/book/9780300...
