So I’m back on my Ao3 bullshit, reading Heated Rivalry fic. Read a hysterical fic w multiple group text convos w hockey player chaos and Ilya being a gremlin. But it also had them interacting w fans on social media - hilarious! -and gave me a gut punch of missing fandom so much it stole my breath.

The thing that stings for people isn’t the disagreement. It’s the implication that queer readings are somehow uniquely ridiculous or deviant while every other transformative reading gets treated as normal fandom engagement. Don't hand over your joy. Fuck them hoes. 😂
