The fires in Ontario - like so many others - demonstrating viscerally how climate change perpetuates the displacement and dispossession of Indigenous peoples, who have least contributed to emissions and over and over again put their bodies on the line to prevent fossil fuel development.

With nearly all votes in, Sen. John Hickenlooper won his primary just 53-47. This got far less attention than the left’s outright wins, but it’s historically bad for an incumbent. Only two Dem senators since 1972 have lost renomination to challengers to their left, & he massively outspent Gonzales

The heatwave in Europe is so extreme, it's 25–32°F (14–18°C) above normal. You read that right. France recorded it's hottest day ever. The UK had its hottest ever June day. The ground is exceeding 122°F (50°C). People are dying. Tell me again why we shouldn't talk about climate change???

Astra’s point is well defended, but title really says it all. Mamdani admin is besieged by all varieties of entrenched power because if NYC flourishes the myth of social democratic naïveté evaporates. If humanist policies raise the standard of living, the Washington Consensus is truly cooked.
