Casual reminder that the myth of “pulling yourself up by your bootstraps” is a cruel hoax designed to convince poor people from all walks of life that the injustices they face are a result of their own actions, rather than an oppressive system rigged against them.

My only take on Erling Haaland hype is that he grew up under Democratic socialism in Norway which boosts one of the highest happiest indexes of any country globally & I can’t but feel that come across in his attitude both as a player & human. He seems to be having fun. Like many whose needs are met.

Also, the haters forget that their wedding is contributing to the local economy by using businesses like florists, caterers, servers, security, limo companies, valets, photographers, etc. Yeah, they are spending a lot but it's going into the pockets of businesses and workers.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce also pay taxes, unlike Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Elon Musk. Swift also donates millions of $$ wherever she does concerts, plus they stimulate that local economy. According to Forbes, all her taxes combined paid in 2024 came to almost $300,000,000. ($300 MILLION)
