Nine anime that shaped me The top row have influenced basically every comic series I've made since 2000. The remaining six had an impact on me in one way or another during my time in high school/college.

Promotional images for Cowboy Bebop, His and Her Circumstances, The Slayers, Tenchi Muyo!, Ruin Explorers, Trigun, Revolutionary Girl Utena, Sailor Moon, and Mobile Suit Gundam Wing

If i wanted a really self indulgent Sonic commission pic imitating a comic cover with loads of characters in, how would I approach an artist for that? Most folks price and expect simpler dingle character pics.

I've been selling on WeChange for a year now and I'm excited to see the site continue to grow! Grumpy, Jo and everyone else who manages the site are such hardworking and chill people. Even if you've never sold your work before, I would encourage you to apply! It's really not as scary as it may seem.

"Indies will save us" No! YOU WILL SAVE INDIES! Go leave a review for that neat indie game you like, share the trailer for an upcoming game you're anticipating, tell your fave developer they did a good job, go tell people about such and such game that's just come out, you can make a difference!

Another thing about "getting good" at art. Look at Charles Schultz. Yeah, Peanuts. Objectively, how jaw dropping is that style? But you'd never dare call it bad. It's flawless. That's the game. It's just a journey of practice and confidence, and if you don't love what you make, change it.

I've been really struggling to draw the past few weeks but I think I've (hopefully) broken through that with this latest draw. I've wanted to draw a TF of Fam from Ruin Explorers for YEARS now. I think I executed it pretty well here. Did some effects to make it look like a 90s cel. #transformation

In 2001, while getting ready to graduate high school, I completed after many drafts and redraws the first issue of Unfamiliar Reflection, my first honest-to-goodness publicly distributed comic book. It may have been a photocopied zine sold in my local comic shop, but it was made by ME.

The cover to Unfamiliar Reflection #1, dated July 2001. Pictured are drawings of the three main characters: teenagers, two girls and a boy. A caption reads "Change is always for the better."
