Had a fun solo adventure day exploring free museums and Battery Park in NYC :) was so fun to go through a museum slowly and not worry about someone else getting bored But very ready for NYC to cool down before I return lol

tomorrow is my time slot to buy Olympics tickets and apparently all aquatic sports are already sold out Hoping I can get... anything... I just told myself as a kid that if the Olympics were ever in the US I would go and I have so many friends and fam in the LA area I would be a shame to miss it

College class! Emerson thinks Valeria is pretty and is impressed by her answer to a professor's question. Valeria initially thinks Emerson's answer to a question is kinda dumb, but she learns he's a good group project mate, and she appreciates his effort on that.

Tomorrow we'll chat about what keeps them apart Today, I want to know what brings them together! What do they find intriguing or admirable in the other, maybe despite circumstances? What keeps them from simply being strangers in each other's stories? #SumLuv 🧡

Romance Writers Summer of Love #SumLuv @EllieYellu Day 12: Drawn Together. What brings your characters together? What initially attracts them to each other?

I think I was struggling with making edits to this book because I was unsure what needed to be done and how close to done it was. But after reading my friend’s notes on 55k words of draft 2, I realized… it’s actually pretty solid. It’s achieving the things I want. I’m excited. #writesky

Emerson mentions being covered in the school newspaper for a game-winning run he scored the year prior! So probably something like that, and he would think it’s neat. Valeria would hold onto a physical copy forever.

Tell me more about your #AwesomeCharacters You wake up this morning to find your characters splashed all over the news! What's the headline? What have they done? Is this going to be a problem? #WriteSky #WritingCommunity #WritingPrompts

Success at the thrift store: got 3/4 of the Giver books in a hardcover matching set for $1.20 each, a supima cotton long sleeve for winter for $4, a cashmere sweater for $7, and a cute vintage style dress new with tags for $11. Shoutout to the bartender who recommended it!!

I didn't make any sales from the article featured in the newspaper email newsletter for my old hometown but I DID get notes on my first 27 chapters on draft 2 from my friend, so a great way to start the week

Vibes - they are treading water/swimming in the lake! The irony of I have only made it up to said lake once this summer and it'll close at Labor Day :(

Valeria eventually shuffles in and adjusts to the water temperature. Harper swims back and forth between us, saying how much she's like the Little Mermaid with her red hair, recounting the whole movie plot to us.

Yesterday I reached a new high for KU pages read in a single day, 329! I shared my one-month wrap up post to my personal IG (first time posting about it since publication day) and I wonder if a personal connection decided to give it a chance or if this is a person from the general internet

Terrible image quality but my husband had an animation shown at Short Short Fest at the oldest operating drive in theatre in the US, my first time at a drive in! Such a cool experience!

Tomorrow is 1 month since release of At Your Pace and I am really hoping to cross 1,000 KENP read in that time frame. Hoping the reader from the US who read 22 pages today comes back for more tonight! I will share all my stats tomorrow! #booksky

Why travel to Iceland when we have volcanoes in our metaphorical backyard (I lived in Portland for the better part of four years and never went to Mount Hood. But I miss seeing it on clear days!)

Trey throws his hands up. “Where’s your sense of adventure, dude? We’re going to see a volcano!”

Paloma points behind her. “We have a volcano literally right there. You can ski on Mount Hood!”

I tried to go walk by the river where there is a breeze but by the time I found a parking spot not for residents only, I realized the sun was beating down too hard. I went to the fancy grocery store and then just went home. At least I enjoyed my audiobook and got out of the house 🤷

9996 words and I have a first draft of the hockey short story done!!! All praise getting my favorite table at the library and no one having phone conversations that distracted me!
