I use to think there were only two types of people on the metro during rush hour. Those who keep their backpacks on (wrong) and those who take them off (correct). Today I found a third: those who enter the train with a full and open bowl of oatmeal

Brazil bans Kalshi and Polymarket from operating in the country. obviously things aren't perfect there but I think we need to think seriously about how to get institutions like theirs

#negreg Several times already the dept's negotiator and lawyer have mentioned that the language in the draft regs was not what they would have chosen, suggesting that it was not generated in-house.... Any others hearing something similar?

same Overton Window-shattering tactic he’s always used: Even if worst doesn’t happen tonight - rhetorically he’s opened up possibility of the unimaginable, making lesser (but still horrible) actions seem moderate by comparison… all increasing likelihood that one day the worst really will happen
