Pretty decent summation of the midfield developments from @distancecovered.bsky.social. The Dom vs Flo point is one that is starting to bubble as Macca / Nyoni continue to thrive, emerge, and show what they can do.

@distancecovered.bsky.social write about him diving in, before he joined I think, amazing house he has t been coached out of it, sort of thing you tell U10’s to stop doing
Hmm, yeah I get it, and saw @distancecovered.bsky.social (who's more critical of Hughes on balance) say similar. Certainly true that Hughes has moved on older players and brought in talented younger players, but unclear they fit together...
Was watching @distancecovered.bsky.social & @jonmackenzie.bsky.social video about Andoni Iraola and Liverpool High press dynamics against Como. The video was about Szoboszlai & Gravenberch roles & how Liverpool tries to cover that space between the back & pressing unit.
If you're understandably jaded with the protracted Barcola saga, revisit this @theanfieldwrap.bsky.social video with the great @knoxharrington.bsky.social and @distancecovered.bsky.social. It will get you buzzing again www.youtube.com/watch?v=rjUH...

If you haven't already given @distancecovered.bsky.social a listen on YouTube talking about Midfielder choices for Liverpool.
Just finished watching yet another YT video from the always brilliant @distancecovered.bsky.social He used data to help us find the best midfield option out there atm, and it's very interesting imo. Have a watch yourself 😉 #LFC #Redsky #ynwa #FSG youtu.be/9FaTvWa3pU4?...

I love this kind of analysis, especially given how knowlegdeable @knoxharrington.bsky.social & @distancecovered.bsky.social are, and how good they're both are explaining certain metrics. Although I would love for them both to mention "less obvious" potential targets LFC should look at as well.
Enjoyed going on @distancecovered.bsky.social podcast to talk about Andoni Iraola at Liverpool and how he might scale up. You can listen here (£): substack.com/@distancecov...

@distancecovered.bsky.social just burst out laughing at the "fuck me" on the Wrap transfer committee episode.
Just watched this and, typical of @distancecovered.bsky.social, it’s really good, in large part because it’s an unhysterical analysis of Iraola’s potential impact at Liverpool. Yes it’s exciting but it may not work for a host of reasons. Also, loved the doom-laden ending. youtu.be/JjRTmTDTm_0?...

I'm on the new @distancecovered.bsky.social podcast. We had one or two things to discuss. distancecovered.substack.com/p/episode-11...
@distancecovered.bsky.social is your guy for all things grounded insight
I don’t advertise my podcast much, but love comments like this. We’ve created a world in which reasonable opinion is now considered niche. distancecovered.substack.com
I joined @distancecovered.bsky.social to discuss Liverpool’s loss at Old Trafford. We also discussed how Slot *might* plot a way out of this mess next season…

This is what I can’t understand why we signed him? Maybe the relatively low price given his age & homegrown, & at least an elite level speed. But his on the ball skills and football IQ are severely lacking. As @distancecovered.bsky.social said, he defends like an attacker, attacks like a defender
I guested on @distancecovered.bsky.social's latest podcast episode. We discussed the 4-0 loss to City, Slot’s future and ways in which the Reds can potentially hurt PSG. Top fun for anyone who isn’t a Liverpool fan, therapy for anyone who is.
