On October 4 1948, the comic strip "Pogo", by Walt Kelly, made it's debut in the New York Star Newspaper, In the Original Animals Comics, Pogo officially made his debut it the comic With Albert the Alligator. Pogo revealed that his birthday was, indeed, in October. #PogoPossum #WaltKelly

Pogo Possums first appearance in his own comic strip "Pogo" from the short lived newspaper The New York Star. Pogo became a syndicated strip in May of '49 by the Post-Hall Syndicate, and ran until 1975 (Walt Kelly passer away in 1973)Pogo as he first appeared in Dell's Animal Comics in the story "Albert Takes the Cake", revealing that his birthday was in October. Some of the main cast from the "Pogo" comic strip. Did you know Pete the Cat began as Pete the Bear? In the Alice Comedies, Pete was a bear. When Disney did Steamboat Willie, it made more sense for it to be a cat vs. mouse. Hence, he became Pete the Cat. Disney should re-brand him as Gay Pete, because Disney loves to support the gay community. ($)

Actually named Peter Pete Sr, but also known as Bad Pete, Big Pete, Big Bad Pete, Black Pete, Bootleg Pete, Dirty Pete, Mighty Pete, Pee Wee Pete, Peg Leg Pete, Petey, Pistol Pete, Sneaky Pete, or Piston Pete. Disney should re-brand him as Gay Pete,ya know, because Disney loves to support the gay community (especially if it makes them company ($$$)!

My Emperor penguin character, Othello. When I first drew him, I said he was probably a used car salesman. As I kept drawing him, I realized he was more likely a stripper/exotic dancer. His parents were in the movie "Happy Feet". His grandfather was in "Marry Poppins". Dancing is in his blood.

The ever observant (and always horny/usually nude), Detective Dick Bulger. He's based on my love of detective novels (Sherlock Holmes) and bears (actual bears), and gay bears (big hairy men). Combining all three, I came up with my Spirit Bear detective. As most know, I have a weakness for bears.

Looking through my old files/sketches on my computer, I'm realizing that I've been drawing Bruce for over 30 years. He's not my oldest character I draw, but he's well up there. Here's a picture of younger Bruce in his 20 & 30s, and again in his older, 40+ dadger period. Why is he naked? Why not!

Guess who has two thumbs and has been watching way too many live action One Piece clips on YouTube recently? This guy! Sticker from my Telegram I decided to turn into a wanted poster. Oh, the things I do when I'm bored.

My loon character, Gavin. This was part of a bigger piece from FA, but I wanted to get Gavin alone with Bruce again. I have no idea what Gavin is drinking, nor why he's drinking from a beaker, nor why he's using a crazy straw to do so. He's a loon. He does weird things.

Bruce with his friend, the common loon, Gavin. Gavin is drinking a rainbow colored drink.

The start of the NFL season is just around the corner so Duroc and @brucebadger.bsky.social are dialing up some plays to get in the mood. Did I say mood? I meant to get into football shape. Yeah, that's it. We have a lot of preparation ahead of us. No time for gay stuff. Okay, maybe just a little.

My "Wind In The Willows" cast from 2021. Bruce's shirt, and my own sentiments from that time period, still seem apropos today. Always be the best "you" that you can be, no matter what anyone tells you. For those who try to tell other people how to live their lives, mind your OWN DAMN business.

Nero More, Bruce Badger and Baron Ratt (or Baron von Ratt in some of my notes. Also, his design has changed since I created this). Only thing missing from this piece is Ulysses S. Toad (or "Toady", who is also gay, so getting him into the piece wouldn't have made the piece "work').

My tiger, Theodore Sexton III. You can call him Theo or Ted. He used to work in the adult film industry (He's an old retired gay porn star "actor" where he went under the name of "Roary Cummings"). He also does a bit of gay erotic fiction under the pen name of "Markitty de Sade".

A well dressed tiger who goes by the name Theo, dressed up in his zoot suit.

Most characters in the Disney universe are gay. Really, they are. Go to any theme park and ask them. They'll start using code words like "SECURITY! REMOVE THIS PERSON FROM THE PREMISES. SOMEONE PROTECT ELSA!" That's their code words for "Cheez it! We've been caught". Ha ha! The queers!

Gavin, the gay Minnesotan loon (Common Loon or Great Northern Diver (Gavia immer). Sure, he may dress a bit eccentric, look a bit odd, and talk a bit funny, but at least he's not Republican. I'd be happy to call anyone like him a friend.

A loon (as in the bird, not the whole of the Republican party). His name is Gavin. He's from Minnesota. He talks funny, different, but he's still okay in my book.
