This is extremely disturbing! I’m disgusted with this regime. Everyday is more barbaric and backwards. The corruption, lies, propaganda, bullying, name calling, invading other countries, alienating our allies, snuggling up to dictators and now public executions by firing squads. VOTE! This must end!
A civilized nation does not livestream a public execution. That's absolutely abhorrent.
This is sociopathic. The USA is a sick, sick place. The last public execution was a state sanctioned lynching of a black man in Kentucky. 20,000 people attended.
As a Brit reading this, I’m stunned. Your government has become as cruel and barbaric as many of the countries they criticise for the exact same reason. It is not ok to execute people and it’s not ok to potentially traumatise vulnerable kids & adults exposed to the spectacle. 🙁
Execution as public spectacle is a theatrical deployment of terror meant to display the total dominance of the King over his subjects. Goes way back in history. Is maga's idea of making America 'great' again. Plus, is a distraction from Epstein and the fact the pedophile rapist is still in office.
This is a moral atrocity and it needs to be loudly condemned as such. There is a reason that democracies *don't* do publicly televised executions (and why many don't execute people at all): it inculcates and rewards bloodthirst, which corrupts the spirit and corrodes the foundation of the polity.
