Earlier this week, eight children were killed in Speaker Johnson’s hometown in a horrific act of gun violence. We reached out to him asking if we could discuss bipartisan action to protect women and kids across the country from domestic violence. He declined.

I am enormously proud and deeply grateful for the hard work of this commission. A public medical school @universityofri.bsky.social will help cultivate our primary care workforce and offer an affordable and equitable medical education.

R.I. legislative commission recommends medical school at @universityofri. “We need to take decisive action to bring primary care providers here and make them want to stay,” said Senator @pamlauria.bsky.social, the commission’s co-chairwoman. www.bostonglobe.com/2026/01/27/m...

Marco Rubio is reportedly saying Maduro will stand trial in US courts. Which means it’s now the US administration’s position that US courts can hold foreign presidents, but not the US president, accountable for crimes.

Isn't it odd that the United States has enough money to suddenly run Venezuela, but not enough to run our own country? There is always cash in the piggy bank for bombs to kill people, but never for healthcare to keep them alive.

Trump could declare himself Emperor and Schumer and Jeffries would politely post on X that they’re “disappointed.”
