I think Roy tends to be put into two buckets, depending on who’s writing or reading him: the former drug addict, and Lian’s Dad. The way Chris Condon approached that dichotomy in his tragically truncated Green Arrow run was really interesting, and I wish we got to see some more after that.

alan moore got really angry about the adaptation of v for vendetta (shocker!) because he felt it no longer reflected the specific way british fascism felt and would feel and was a more generic, american thing and i didn’t quite get his point in 2006 but i very much get it now.

I think Tom King dialogue benefits a lot from world class actors delivering it. I love that it doesn’t shy away from the oddities of Hal Jordan’s personality, and it genuinely presents the most interestingly synthesized version of John Stewart’s personality we have seen to date.

It really depends on how you define the parameters of “death,” and whether it has to hang or find resolution before the end of an issue or two. The only real concentrated, in-continuity, line-wide “Batman is dead” storyline was the period following Final Crisis.

Sorry if it's a bit sudden with how quickly it all just happened, but I will go ahead and ask. How often does batman die? An exact list would be months of work no doubt, but is it a like once a year thing, only special moments or any random limited series? Like are we talking 10's or 100's?

My favorite work by Jim Lee is not as an artist, but a creative director. I love his championing of DC Universe Infinite, and his push to get a wide variety of artists commissioned for beautiful variant covers. #ngl

According to Stan Lee, old comics ended most sentences in exclamation points as a practical matter, as small marks like periods could disappear in the mimeographing process. This became less of an issue by the 1970s, and was mostly phased out by the 80s.
