The stipulations for character equity and accreditation are worked out ahead of time by a creator and DC. Standard boilerplate agreements are available for those who seek equity, but some adjust those terms to different parameters. Whether DC agrees to those parameters is, too, case dependent. #ngl

In the DCAU productions, in the credits, it's common that some of the creators of the characters featured in the episode are presented, p.e. "Amanda Waller created by John Ostrander and John Byrne".
Why is it that some characters are referenced this way and others not? How do they chose them?
