Today's game-themed 3D doodle. 🙂 Modeled, colored and rendered using the free SDF Modeler 3D editor. Based on concept art by @msatom.bsky.social #3D #SDF #character #game #gaming #mario
Reminder that the coding help I need the most for Dear ImGui are related to tech that are foreign to me: Vulkan, OSX, Metal, Android, Linux. Many open issues/pr, need quality brain time, design time, explanations & reviews to close topics rather that have more opened: github.com/ocornut/imgu...
3d portrait of mib using sdf modeler by @sascharode.bsky.social (its really cool check it out, im looking forward to every update it receives) (i can make 3d art too wow who would have guessed)
1/6 Excited to share our #SIGGRAPH2026 paper, Dual Contouring of Signed Distance Data! We propose a new method for reconstructing sharp meshes from discrete samples of signed distance functions (SDFs) that does not require gradients. Project page: gatc.cs.columbia.edu/projects/dua...
I recently completed my PhD thesis, where I developed algorithms for making geometric inferences from imperfect data (i.e. incomplete and inaccurate observations/representations of shapes, like broken meshes or point clouds). A thread 🧵:
Today's 3D doodle. 😊 Based on concept art by @rkfrmn.bsky.social. I love his work, check it out! #art #3D #artwork #illustration #artwork #food #cute
"It's-a me, Hoio!" 😃 This is an SDF Modeler rendering. Gonna make a Blender rendering now, then release the scene.
You'll never guess who this is going to be. 😊
An impression of modeling in SDF 3D. Everything is done with live Boolean operations, and is non-destructive. Love it. No more worries about topology, and modeling and coloring is super-flexible. I'm using the free SDF Modeler (I'm also involved in its development): sascha-rode.itch.io/sdf-modeler
A Sony PlayStation made in SDF Modeler, took me a few hours :D
If you wonder what I'm up to these days… I'm a fan of SDF 3D. Signed Distance Fields allow for modeling without poly topology hassle. My favorite tool is the free SDF Modeler by @sascharode.bsky.social. I'm closely involved in its development, have written its manual, and here's some of my artwork.
SDF Modeler 0.6.2 is out! It includes a new text primitive with support for custom TrueType fonts. sascha-rode.itch.io/sdf-modeler

Complementary second Looney Tunes modeling attempt — this is fun! :)
Do you like voxels and implicits' representations and wish you could animate them in real-time? Now you can! Check out our article: "Real-time rendering of animated meshless representations" to know how: hal.science/hal-05095359 Shout out to @pacomeluton.bsky.social for this fantastic work!
