Summer's here! 🏖️ For the next three weeks I plan to be on social media as little as possible (🤞🏻) so I'm leaving you all with my beautifully curated reading pile, both physical and digital, plus four novels I read in recent summers which I thought were amazing 🌊

Andrea reading a book at the Idroscalo Park in Milan. Summer reading pile. Summer e-ARCs. Four novels I enjoyed in recent summers.

The only useful mnemonic device for "continually" vs. "continuously" is to remember to look them up every single time, and you still won't know which one is which.

I can’t believe it’s finally here. This is the holy grail of all ARCs as far as I’m concerned. I have been waiting (and waiting) for the follow up to Gus Moreno’s THIS THING BETWEEN US for years. Years. Now it’s in my hands. I absolutely cannot wait to begin IF YOU THINK YOU’RE LONELY NOW. Feb 2027.

“I don’t think the robots are taking over. I think the men who play with toys have taken over. And if we don’t take the toys out of their hands, we’re fools.” — Ray Bradbury

every morning I wake up, read the news, walk down into hell, share a strong cup of tea with the devil who assures me it will and can get worse, walk backwards out of darkness, and emerge into the light to witness the world collapse

my read-through of dostoyevsky did not heal me as i thought it would. if anything i am worse than ever. perhaps it was foolish not to anticipate this outcome.
