Folk-horror steeped in Welsh lore and identity, a Celtic riff on The Shining, with the most fantastic prose and two characters you deeply root for. Can't recommend it enough

When I write about a character's stretch marks or rolls, I am not objectifying their body any more than a writer who describes a character's graceful neck or the gap between her front teeth. These are neutral physical traits, and can be part of the language of attraction and desire.

I loved it. if you've not read anything by her yet this is a great place to start, imo.
