📢 Skunk !!! 📢 It's been ages since we had a skunk in the garden, this one looks small, perhaps a kit from this year. #mammals Two clips, one from each camera. 1st clip consecutive photos made into video.

A friend I know IRL said they've no wildlife near their house as they live in the city, close to major roads. I said put a water bowl out and see what happens. She did, last night, and got a fox on her first night with water bowl! She's amazed, thinking of another camera on bowl. 👍 Water=Life❤️

today, Washington state confirmed that we now have the Emerald Ash Borer in our state. it wipes out at least 90% of all ash trees in a mature forest. It also affects olive trees. when you plant trees, this is why you need to plant a diverse mix of native trees and not one species.

Storm clouds at sunset on the eastern plains of Colorado. These plains make over 40% of the Colorado geography. If you’re traveling from the east on the highway you probably won’t see the mountains to the west until you’re at least halfway through them.

A storm out on the far eastern plains of Colorado. It is orange and yellow hues with some dark skies around and bubbly textures of thunderstorm turbulence.

Eris came outside now. It’s only because her dad went to do an errand so she needs to be with someone. She actually runs outside every time a dog walks past our back alley so she keeps herself busy going in and out. koda chose to go to the damp ground, from the mister which hardly uses any water

koda got off the bed too late and the cool dirt the mister has been really great. Erin is sitting on the bed. She’s looking back at us when he is at one ear down. Our red house is in the background. The sun is out.

I think I put 12 extra hydration stations out for the frogs. When I researched it, it said their number one risk is drying out and not being able to get water but they prefer not to jump in a pond. They prefer to hide in damp soil so really I should just make all these into bogs as opposed to H2O

OK, this just freaks me out this rat is putting his head in the water and diving for frogs or tadpoles. I don’t know how I can stop this. This is four in the morning. I don’t have a good sight lines nor lights to shoot at the wildlife pond. I would really love a thermoscope. A decent one is $3000.

raccoon came to the sushi bar (wildlife pond) at midnight , 230, and 430. All were solo raccoons. here is one of them eating there’s still tadpoles in the pond- about 10% of pacific chorus frog tadpoles wait until fall to go through metamorphosis. as a way to protect the species.
