It's Bandcamp Friday: all VHF downloads are name your price at vhfrecords.bandcamp.com. Better, why not get all of our recent LPs! They're all amazing, and if there was ever a time that supporting the small label-underground freakout collective braintrust was important, it's probably right now tbh.

A pile of all of our releases from the last couple of years - 35 years into this, as proud of this batch as any ever, tho' it's getting harder every year to do this. Can't imagine how hard it is out there for the labels and bands trying to do this for a living, must be impossible.

Pre orders open for Acid Mothers Temple & The Melting Paraiso U.F.O. "In A Not C" LP, available Sept 4 2026! Starts as "minimalist," ends as a wild ride. Love this current lineup of the band, it's a great one. Pressed by Smashed, distributed by Revolver USA - order at vhfrecords.com or VHF Bandcamp

A picture of the new Acid Mothers LP on a bench in my foyer. The foyer needs some additional storage, perhaps a bookshelf? the stairs are at sort of an awkward angle tbh, so it can't be too deep but we need to do something. the cover of the Acid Mothers Temple In A Not C LP.

OMG this sucks so hard. I worked w/Mikel for many years at the Record Exchange in Blacksburg and he was a real one. @vhfrecords.bsky.social

Sad news from Charalambides's Tom Carter that Mikel Dimmick of Spiral Joy Band has died. To quote Tom, Mikel had "a wide-eyed fascination with every corner of reality that built on an already expansive love of sound...it will take us months if not years to fully unravel his immense musical output."
