The federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans does an enormous amount of maritime science in all kinds of waters, and it can offer unique access to Canadian innovators. It's given up much of its capacity to actually do so, it warned its DM in May. thelogic.co/news/dfo-oce...

The Fisheries Department is losing its ability to back maritime innovations, documents warn - The Logic

It has ships, the Arctic and the deep sea. Internal documents obtained by The Logic show it no longer has dedicated funding to test inventions.
