When I was a little kid, my dad had four piranhas. He'd named them John, Paul, George and Ringo, after the Beatles. If I ever end up with a pet group of four, I'm gonna name them Freddie, Brian, Roger and John.

It works!!! The violin doesn't even sound all that muffled, but for the first time ever, Susie didn't cone into the room complaining about me playing. Not even on the e-string! Here's to practising AND having happy cats!
You're not gonna believe this: I got extremely distracted on my way home because there was a car filled with ducks! Rubber ducks of all kinds, all over the dashboard and side windows! Even the steering wheel had a cover with ducks! Cherry on top: it was a Renault BeBop! 🦆

Main course today: first attempt at filled roast pumpkin. It's a carnival pumpkin and the suggestion was to fill it with gorgonzola. I added a bit of bacon and prepared it with some leftover sweet potato chips and bread. Was absolutely DELICIOUS.

Crow had a very special gift for me this morning: they swooped down to greet me before I had even spotted them, so I hadn't lured them in or anything. Funnily enough, they are more wary of me than they are of my (moving!) car. I hope it may be the other way round some day...
