Why is Burnham so reluctant to talk about the climate crisis? Good piece by Sandra Laville I hope the PM breaks his climate silence soon and levels with the country about how bad things are, & what his plan is to tackle climate impacts and fossil fuels www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Hot topic: why is Burnham so reluctant to talk about the climate crisis?

Extreme heat is harming wellbeing of ordinary people the PM champions, yet little has been said on the topic

When service members n their families speak up abt conditions on a carrier, their concerns shudn’t just be brushed off as "misrepresented. A sailor goin overboard is a serious incident n the focus shud be on transparency, accountability n ensuring d crew’s safety not silencing people raising alarm

Pete Hegseth is now going after service members and their families for speaking out about conditions aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, even after a sailor going overboard was confirmed. Instead of addressing those concerns, Hegseth says the reports are “completely misrepresented.”

Data centers may be impressive engineering, but calling them “incredible” ignores the costs: huge electricity and water use, strain on power grids, noise, and diesel-generator pollution. Supporting technology doesn't mean ignoring the environmental and community impacts.

Trump: It's a mistake to be against data centers. I don't think they're unsightly. They're the most incredible buildings I've ever seen

Capital One says it closed Trump Organization accounts over money-laundering concerns But he’s doing the exact same thing with Charles Schwab and Citibank and they’re just letting him get away with it. Congress and the media need to dive hard into his relationship with those Financial Orgs

Cases like this deserve empathy for anyone who says they've experienced abuse, while also recognizing that these allegations remain deeply disputed. It's important to avoid dismissing potential victims, but also to avoid presenting contested claims as established fact without definitive proof.

I know it's not a popular opinion but I believe both Wade Robson & James Safechuck were sexually abused as children by Michael Jackson. Once you understand childhood trauma, their stories become undeniably authentic and true.

It's heartbreaking. While youth violence exists worldwide, school shootings involving firearms happen far more often in the U.S. The causes are complex, but no child, teacher, or parent should have to accept this as normal. Real solutions are long overdue.

BREAKING: At Least 8 Dead, Including 14-Year-Old Shooter, After Teen Kills Grandparents Before Opening Fire at School Why does it feel like the one thing the USA uniquely exports is teen gun violence?

Too many people are working harder while housing, food, and other essentials become less affordable. These concerns deserve real solutions, not empty promises. Stay informed, hold leaders accountable, and vote for the future you believe in. Every vote has the power to shape tomorrow. Let's all vote!

go.bsky.app/T526osS Living in today’s society means you have less rights, less ability to afford the basic needs like housing, food and utilities, some clothing, a job that earns enough for all that. Life expectancy is less than the past generation. Follow and vote to get back your rights.

It's possible to believe in religious teachings while also taking scientific research seriously. The two aren't necessarily incompatible. Plenty of religious people accept climate science. It's not accurate to assume everyone of faith rejects scientific evidence.

We are forced to exist in a world where the same people who believe a man built a boat big enough for every animal don't believe in climate science because it’s “unproven.”
