if you are any kind of creative or artist or writer you *have* to understand sex workers and porn/erotica artists/authors as being members of the same class as us. to the extent society recognizes a difference between "legitimate" art and porn, it's only as a tenuous, convenient, temporary fiction.

Some type of person that's been really puzzling me lately is the sex negative NSFW artist. It's wild I've even encountered these in the first place, but it's weird how some people can come off quite prudish despite drawing the raunchiest things that have graced the internet.

Maybe this is just my bias, but what I really love about furry NSFW art is that you get such positive depictions of sex. From more diverse body types and sexuality to just the participants having happy or engaged expressions on them, like they wanna actually be there. Enthusiastic consent is sexy!
Literally what fandom discourse has turned into I fear.
I'm so confused. I've internalized the feminist message that all depictions of women in sexual contexts are misogynistic, especially if the author is a cis straight man. Yet here are a lot of people that seem to celebrate what is essentially a cis straight man's depiction of lesbian sex?
