The thing I'm most excited about for the release of my next book (Into the Words: An Etymologist's Field Guide to Plants, Animals, and Nature) is the clever illustrations that my sister, Melissa Farris, created for the book. Each one captures multiple facets of the species' etymology stories.

I work with some very strong, independent ladies (not uncommon in healthcare settings) and I have learned that if one wants to buy me a coffee, I literally cannot argue with them and pay for it myself 😂 I love my team. And now I have two of them arguing over who is going to buy me a coffee!
