Deutsche Stiftung Weltbevölkerung (DSW) is an NGO engaged in various areas including sexual and reproductive health and rights (#SRHR) and global health R&I – for poverty-related and neglected diseases & women's health.

Does size matter? Bigger economies with their higher aid budgets naturally tend to allocate bigger absolute amounts of funding to SRHR. But when putting these funding amounts into perspective, comparing them to overall #ODA, it’s not necessarily the bigger players who champion #SRHR.

This call is echoed by recent positions of the European Parliament recognising that R&I are not only key to competitiveness but also to Europe’s democratic resilience and sustainable future. 📄Full letter: lnkd.in/drXiSYi4 📄Press release: lnkd.in/dH4WzQm8

We're proud to join 40 other organisations in calling for a strong, independent R&I Framework Programme -successor to #HorizonEU. In an open letter to @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu, we urge the EU to preserve the integrity and mission of #FP10, rather than merging it into a broader #Competitiveness Fund

Now more than ever, we must step up action and protect #HealthForAll. Recent funding cuts are hitting global health hard—let’s take action before it’s too late! 🧵

Devastating to hear yesterday's news from the UK about plans to cut overseas aid. The UK has a long tradition of strongly supporting #SRHR in its international cooperation. Cuts to aid would have dramatic consequences on women and girls in LMICs www.theguardian.com/global-devel...

It’s #WorldNTDDay 2025 and we are halfway to the WHO NTD roadmap 2030 target. 54 countries have eliminated at least one NTD—showing real progress is possible! Yet 1.5+ billion people are still affected by these diseases, with women and girls most affected. 🌍
