I was looking at anime swords to buy today - because come on, it's me - and I really wish wildly silly swords were not so impractical to wield. Realistic, practical swords can be beautiful, but there's so much character and story you can put into a weapon that never actually has to exist.

In two and a half hours or so, I join Pocket Dragon Pub as we take #daggerheart somewhere I've never seen it go - the Salsa floor! I'm playing token white guy, El Assassino Del Salsa. It's gonna be amazing, and we're raising money for Columbian earthquake relief, so come join!

So I'm watching this incredible YouTube documentary about D&D/TTRPGs by Answer in Progress - I'll post it in the comments, watch it, it's brilliant - but in it, Liam O'Brien and Griffin McElroy talk about how wildly lucky they were to have accidentally stumbled into Actual Play when they did. 🧵

(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ THE ONE OFF REVIVAL WAS PERFECT. JUST DO THAT AGAIN, SEVENTY TO FIVE HUNDRED MORE TIMES. THE LIST OF CELEBRITY GUESTS THAT WILL AGREE TO APPEAR IS "EVERYONE." (Can't quote post @briancgrubb.bsky.social , sorry to screenshot, go follow the funny person who is as mad as I)

-IMPORTANT- Gumroad has recently updated their website with the intention of phasing out the ability to manually edit your storefront and allowing you to only edit your storefront via AI agents. I will be dropping gumroad support entirely in the near future. More to come as I sort things out.

In a full "No one will ever believe you" moment, I just finished helping out with a VO recording session for a very cool actor, walked up the street into an Urban Outfitters, and freakin' Katsye was there. I guess I *do* live in LA.

There is some kind of massive event happening in Glendale right now for something called Battle for Dream Island, which I have never heard of but apparently started in 2010?! I think indie animated shows might be my biggest pop culture blind spot.

Hilarious story from Saturday's wedding: we were waiting for the reception, and someone said that if they had a wedding, they'd play "The Rains of Castermere" to freak everyone out. So when the wedding party slammed all the doors and the Rains started playing, I about fell off my stool laughing.

The wedding I'm going to today is fantasy/art nuveau/whimsy themed, so I set a reminder on my Alexa to bring the swords I need to bring. She asked me if I was going to a costume party or a historical reenactment. :D

I think a skill we should all cultivate in ourselves (including me!) is the ability to celebrate wins while acknowledging that there is much work to be done. We can't wait to celebrate until a total victory because those don't exist. We have to be able to celebrate the gains we make along the way
