The Times are running a hit piece on me over a Green Party motion opposing sanctions on Iran and some tweets of mine. They contacted my employer and asked for my response. @thetimes.com I’m publishing my statement here so people can read my position and principles behind it in full.
Terrorising communities. Splitting up families. These are political choices that Burnham is backing by reappointing Shabana Mahmood in the Home Office. These are choices the Green Party will always fight.
This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

Nothing to see here, just the leader of the opposition committing contempt of court live on national television. This accusation lead to no conviction after a jury were given the full context. Nobody was “attacked viciously” or has “[gotten] away with it”. The case is ongoing.
