I will always have a particular soft spot for “Here You Come Again,” which I seem to listen to *a lot.*
Someone just posted a post beginning “As a gay man, Dolly was a beacon,” and I’m not ashamed to say I reenacted the entire Kombucha Girl montage.
It does not feel like a coincidence that, much like Mr. Rogers, Dolly Parton, also a Christian, sent notes with her books saying how proud she was of kids. She tried to reaffirm the idea that children were fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of Christ and therefore are worthy.

The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, a music legend and titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library program has earned multiple Library Literacy Awards and, in 2018, she visited us to donate its 100 millionth book to our collection and host a story time. 🦋❤️
