Well hello there, checking in after months of no activity from the hardest semester of my life. Gonna go make some soup now!
Been so in love with Threads lately, I forgot this exists! So hi! Little update: My manuscript is officially at 80k with 8 chapters left to go!
I’ve been having significant writer’s block for the last week trying to rewrite a scene in my draft 2, only to conclude that I have been drastically over thinking it and the solution was quite literally staring me in the face the whole time. Moral of the story, just keep writing forward.
Hello all! I am seeking help in finding a literary journal or press dedicated to voices of the chronically ill and disabled. In recent years, a few of my favorite journals have closed, and I am devastated! Does anyone have any guidance?
The new journal my grad students and I are creating has gotten a flood of poetry and fiction submissions (yay!), but the editors are especially hoping for more open genre (hybrid, multimedia) and nonfiction pieces too! Send them some good longform work!
We are officially open for submissions until October 31st! Send us your long-form fiction, poetry, non-fiction, and your work that transcends the genres! Submit on: lastsyllablelit.com
