One thing I appreciate about Dungeon Crawler Carl is how they address #TTRPG tropes--specifically the broody loner that insists on doing everything their way or they just sew chaos that doesn't really serve a purpose beyond self-indulgence.. Y'know. Toxic rogue shit.
Dear #TTRPG family: Remember that acitions have conseuquences. That minor ineraction you thought meant nothing becauce that NPC couldn't kill you might actually affect another NPC who CAN kill you. Just like in reallife, you never know who's watching and who's connected to whom.
I remember a D&D 5e game years ago where, the day before every session, I spent way more time than anyone s hould considering how to temper an in-character reaction to mitigate how much of a dick another PC in the group was. I also remember letting that PC get ragdolled by a roper. #TTRPG

Ramdom #TTRPG thoughts: Character development doesn't have to be linear. In fact, sometimes it actually aids a story for a PC to backslide into original behaviors and patterns. ....this may or may not have anything to do with one of my PCs having a homicidal crash out very soon. 🤔
One of the most hilarious and annoying instances of metagaming (because the intrusive thoughts are winning today) is when a player asks the GM about an NPC Instead of asking the NPC I really think some players are afraid that their PC will get stabbed if they ask an NPC what they do for a living.
I dont know who needs to hear this, but my #TTRPG game notes are too accurate for folks to gaslight me about the order in which things happen. I will ALWA6S know who did what amd when. It's already nuts that the blind guy is the one with detailed notes.

Thinking this morning about personalities in q #TTRPC context. I've talked before about how some players automatically assume that their characters are universally likeable and are genuinely confused when anyone, PCs or not, don't. "We work together so we have to like each other"., etc. 1/-

FINALLY got around to doing some lifting today. Still kept it light to ease into being active because DOMS is a bitch.
There are certain things where I absolutely need a little bit (read: A LOT) of guidance and explanation; I'm a visual learner by nature, so I kind of have to see things in action and understand practical application. Just talking at me DOES NOT WORK. If anything, it just pisses me off. 💀

Not so hot take: AI in law enforcement should be, legally, treated the same way that we treat lie detectors tests/ I GUARANTEE if they did, they'd stop using it. Publicly, anyway.

Tip for the GMs and writers out there...and really I'd say everyone now-a-days; What is legally right, and what is morally right, are not always the same thing. Just because someone is a criminal, doesn't mean they're the irremediable embodiment of evil. Learn this fact, and play with it. #TTRPG
