It's been over month since I fell sick with a life threatening infection, weeks of slow recovery have followed (& its likely still a long road ahead) BUT! Finding my first Crocus Sativus bloom, AKA saffron flower, has brightened my week 📷 the stigmas from the 🌷 I.e. homegrown saffron strands! 😄

Feeling disheartened about the limited representation of ADHD in the recent ch4 documentary? or want to broaden your view of what it can look like? May i suggest this award-winning alternative by the very lovely & talented Emily Bates in collaboration w/ @nature.com www.nature.com/articles/d41...

Why do women like me get diagnosed with ADHD late?

Emily Bates was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 34. She explores how the condition presents in women and why so many are diagnosed later in life.

Check out our 🌟new paper🌟 on observational data collection in children through adolescence Such methods can capture complexity & richness of experiences across diverse contexts, something that is missing from a lot of developmental psychology! Open-access: onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/...

As part of our ESRC-funded project on age-based imitation, we have produced a methods paper reflecting on naturalistic observations of children and adolescents in diverse contexts, detailing methods, challenges and recommendations doi.org/10.1002/icd....

We hope this will be useful addition to any developmental psychology researchers and/or educators wanting to understand more about the benefits and approaches within naturalistic observations.

What's really clear from today's #CES2026 - #HBES2026 panel is how much we've come to work together, across the evolutionary social & behavioral sciences. Monique Borgerhoff Mulder sums it up: "The gaps between evolutionary psychology, human behavior ecology, & cultural evolution have narrowed"

"Participants found diagnosis revelatory, their lives finally making sense; citing healing, improved self-esteem, and life feeling more worth living." 💯 It's was liberating! Great 📚 I'll keep commenting on it because it's so important as a scientist to reflect on the role of my diagnosis #ADHD 🧪🧐
