How’s about we assume any viral outbreak is airborne until proven otherwise?

I'm seeing multiple MDs, including those high up at the WHO, repeatedly say the public need not worry about hantavirus, you need close prolonged contact to get the illness, it's not airborne, and most worryingly, the WHO advising HCWs to use inadequate respiratory protection. Attended a concert last night (no spoons today) and had the very surreal experience of turning on my phone at intermission to Google “did US bomb Iran today”. Wild times we live in.

The sudden loss of Michael Haynes late last week is shocking. His influence on the local hiking community has been immeasurable. More than that, he was a friend. We will miss him.
