almost through widow’s bay on apple, and wow do I love it not a horror guy, but small town new england ghost stories? that’s right up my street the show is effortlessly funny, genuinely spooky (at least to me), grounded and relatable, and every ep has a fresh angle pretty brilliant

nolan typically really makes me itch but I gotta hand it to him, I loved the odyssey, just a ton of clever adaptation decisions, and it casts a spell easily my fav of his, and the least annoying (alongside dunkirk)

I enjoyed The Odyssey (2026) but I have one historical nitpick. The phrase “Jiminy Christmas” is a minced oath for “Jesus Christ”. As the story is set around 1200 B.C. it is unlikely that Odysseus would have said the phrase even once, let alone the dozens of times he says it in the film
