The thing to understand about Katrina and the decades long struggle since is that we lost. The gentrifiers, colonizers, privatizers, and capitalists won. And we lost. They demolished our city and built a shitty hotel town on its ruins. The failed state we live in now belongs to them.

My mammogram is Tuesday. Since I've had breast cancer, a mammogram causes me catastrophic stress. Cancer fucking sucks yo. The meds you have to take to prevent recurrence cause so much damage to your body. I've never talked about this stuff in 3 yrs but I'M FUCKING EXHAUSTED OF IT.

My day in a nutshell:I saw my oncologist bc I'm having issues. I basically bullied my way into an appt bc I couldn't wait until November and my Dr allowed it. I felt heard. My exam felt good. She listened to my medication concerns, upped my dosage. I lucked out so fucking hard.
