Just need to get through the week, find actual rest to ease burnout, remove a quarter of the things I'm trying to do, reprioritize, and try again.

I see an all-too-often cycle of those who run at full speed often don't leave time for themselves to take a moment of pause, identify tasks, and train others. Especially at volunteer-run conventions. There is significant trust and practice required to peel off duties.

I've been thinking since I stepped down from FWA leadership about how much furry conventions have grown, and how much we now ask of the volunteers who keep them running. I decided to put those thoughts into words, and I'd appreciate it if you'd give them a read: gomi.gay/blog/26-09-0...

How are "premium" hard sided check-in bags $50-100 more expensive than the practically indestructible Pelican cases of equivalent size? What market prop determined adding fabric dividers and two more wheels is worth $100?

Trying to sleep but instead my mind is strategizing approaches to organizational change management 😩 Dependency diagrams and RACI matrices ughhh

People sending me medical advice from chatgpt can piss off. It's insulting to be sent what's basically lmgtfy. Cite real sources. These people lack even one extra step of critical thinking: what happens if you're wrong? Don't ever take things at face value. Always ask why.

Hey y'all, 10 years is a really long time to be holding onto how someone wasn't great to you so long ago. Not asking to forgive, just consider they might not be the same person anymore.

After a very successful year of project management volunteering, if there is anyone looking for an engineering PM [project/product/program] in the Boston area lmk! Preferences for audio/signals, electronics, and chip design. Can do software and hardware! Let's make cool things!

Listening back to my AC set and oof owie my mistakes 😅 Not too worried about it since it was my first time on CDJs, I've learned a lot!! Despite the imperfections I'm glad people had fun ^^
