did end-of-quarter royalty payments this morning, and I'm proud to confirm that our bestseller City of Six Moons has surpassed over 6,000 copies sold. I decided to mark the occasion with a little data crunching - here's a look at the top 15 games from a small POD publisher.

It's this or an entry in the Weirdhorny Vyl Universe which is more artistically fulfilling and will make specific people cum so hard it hits their ceiling but it does not get me several $20 bills which is a shame

the reactions to this from the pro-LLM crowd - regardless of their positions on "AI" "consciousness" - are incredibly revealing. All I'll say is that the only people who would think running this is a good use of themselves are in fact LLM maximalists. I mean look at the website.

Chicagoland friends, I have a favor to ask. I have a pro bono client, a Black woman, who is currently facing charges for allegedly pointing a gun at her abusive ex - who admitted to raping her. I would love if there could be a show of support for her at her next few court dates.

This isn't to say things aren't bad, but for a marginalised community where poor mental health is rampant it's so so important that we accurately assess threats and focus our energy on the fights that matter.

Recently, I did a wonderful interview with the indefatigable @emilystjams.bsky.social about trans people's online information environment and why there are very strong incentives to spread panic. It was a wide-ranging discussion that I think is more relevant than ever.

I feel like there's a conversation to be had about the state of things where people with good intentions are afraid to ask for help because of fear of backlash. To me, Furry has always been a place about banding together, uplifting each other, especially in a world that stands against many of us.

LRPs: Obviously the recent past of FA has some really questionable decisionmaking, but it still functions as an extremely important community backbone esp for elements of the community that are not as well served by microblogs. Something to consider.

I should've had FA+ already but I'm going to fix that, FA is incredibly valuable to the furry fandom and losing it would be a disaster

CEO Dan Clancy says Twitch now uses AI to identify streamers that may not match a brand, since it now transcribes all streams for brand safety. It won't show ads on channels or content the AI believes don't match what the advertiser is trying to achieve.

SEVEN SURRENDERS (Palmer) - Wow, Ada Palmer can write, huh? I grieved viciously reading this. It was an utterly miserable sight to behold. It takes concepts that you associate with pithy gotcha thought experiments and makes them seem brand new again. I fear the next book, which I will read v soon.

Sometimes I think about seeing one of my staff underwriter coworkers say "We need to figure out how to tactfully decline this submission. They sent in AI generated photos and said they complied w the request" and I feel a little chill on the wind. Like I've seen foreshadowing in the novel of life.
