It was revealed this morning that Aya Shida was the art director for the Ocarina of Time remake. She has not been interviewed much in the past, but she was featured in the Creating a Champion book. She's notable as the artist who designed the Divine Beasts in Breath of the Wild:

PEOPLE: - Aya Shida. Wildlife Artist for Breath of the Wild. QUOTE: "Shida: [For the Divine Beasts in Breath of the Wild] we used Jōmon pottery and the look of the already established Guardians as a base, but also referenced ceremonial masks from Southeast Asia, children's drawings, and other things. I wanted to explore a different aesthetic than that found in Western art. … I used well-known animals as a motif, but that alone wouldn't have been interesting. Molding it into something like a camel but drawn by someone who has never actually seen a camel made it feel like some kind of mythological creature. I think that leaving in those undeveloped elements helped us capture the essence of something ancient while also being both unsettling and lovable."

Ya-ya-nyan, the mascot of Owase City, is a welcoming cat whose clothes celebrate Owase's nature, culture, and fishing industry. The name "Ya-ya" comes from the unique "Ya-ya Festival", where people dress in white and fight in the streets. Ya-ya-nyan’s special skill is being able to sleep anywhere.
