Working for Poole. 🐬🌹

Giver and taker firms have donated £47m to political parties over 25 years. 💰 These same companies went on to score £60 BILLION in public contracts since 2015. This is everything people hate about politics. Ban firms from getting contracts with Governments they pay to elect.

MPs from different parties joined us on Tuesday as part of our drop-in session for the amendment to the 'Representation of the People Bill' proposed by @neilduncanjordan.bsky.social around 'breaking the link' between donors and contractors. Party donors should not receive government contracts.

WHY won't the government let us own our own trains ⁉️ "The rolling stock companies are the elephant in the room of rail reform" 🐘🚄 Brilliant @neilduncanjordan.bsky.social amendment to Railways Bill would end rip off 🤩 Buy trains directly, cut fares by 12% www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/2602976...

Too many Poole families face the worst of both worlds. Low wages and sky-high housing costs. Local Housing Allowance is meant to bridge the gap. But it’s been frozen while rents keep rising. We need higher wages and a safety net that works - so no one is left behind.

40 MPs have signed my motion for an Essentials Guarantee. Life can change overnight - illness, job loss, caring responsibilities. We need a minimum floor no one can fall below. An Essentials Guarantee would ensure support always covers the essentials people need to survive.

I’m campaigning to stop political donors getting Government contracts. 14 million people went hungry last year, we owe it to them to ensure decisions are made in the public interest. Cosy relationships with vested interests undermine trust in politics. Time to break the link.

Great news that greyhound racing will be banned in Wales! Pushing dogs to their limits for entertainment and profit leaves many with life‑changing injuries - and too often an early death. Westminster should follow suit and call the last lap on greyhound racing.

The super-rich want to keep getting richer. To get their way they buy access and influence. Wealth shouldn't equal power in a democracy. Labour must curb the grip of big money on our politics. You can read my full article for Tribune: tribunemag.co.uk/2026/03/big-...

Big Money Has Corrupted Britain’s Politics

If Labour wants to rebuild trust in democracy, it must confront the growing influence of extreme wealth on our political system.

The public believe in fair play: hard work and playing by the rules should matter. Migrant care workers do vital work, often in tough conditions for low pay. It’s un-British to rip up the rules & pull the rug from under them. Divisive for communities. Bad for public services.

The Labour Party was founded to represent working people. Mandelson and other servants of the elite should never be able to use it for their own ends. To expose Reform as a party of the super-rich, we must show we are something different

Factionalism gave us Mandelson. We must do better – Neil Duncan-Jordan MP

"Our country needs to get back its moral compass; to rediscover what public service means and to speak up for those who have no voice."

Millions of people can't afford to keep the lights on, heat their home or put food on the table. The Chancellor can't just tell us her plan is working. People won’t believe it unless they feel it in their pockets. We need a bold, Labour plan to raise living standards.

We’re calling time on collapsing biodiversity. Dozens of species on the brink. Rivers polluted. Woodlands degraded. It doesn’t stack up to look at this crisis and argue for less environmental protections. Our message to Government: Don’t Cross These Red Lines.

Hunters exploit legal loopholes to kill wildlife. I’m concerned Ministers won't review the falconry exemption. A narrow focus on trail hunting repeats the errors of the Hunting Act. We need a watertight ban that removes all current exemptions. End this bloodsport for good.

Fight Rule By The Rich! Inequality is driving the cost-of-living crisis. Billionaires get richer- you lose out. It’s a threat to democracy too - extreme wealth buys political influence & rigs the system for the powerful. Tax the rich. Raise living standards. Defend democracy.

The Tories cut so many holes in our welfare state that they turned a safety net into a trapdoor. Locking people into poverty - scarring lives with cold, hunger, and hardship. Labour must do better. The starting point is delivering an Essentials Guarantee.

What's life like if you can't afford essentials? Empty fridge. Cold home. Bills piling up. Health suffers. Education suffers. Work suffers. That shouldn't be normal in Britain. The solution: link social security to the cost of essentials so everyone can afford the basics.

The British public want Labour to deliver on our pledge to stop fox hunting. I’ve written to the Government stressing the need to remove loopholes in the existing Hunting Act. We’ve got to get this right - or risk turning a major political victory into a self-inflicted wound.
