Please share! I will soon advertise a postdoctoral position in my Gut–Brain Interactions Lab at DIfE (Berlin–Potsdam), starting March–June 2027. I’m looking for candidates with expertise in human electrophysiology, ideally multimodal EEG–fMRI. Feel free to contact me informally if interested!

Happy to share the first output of the Gut-Brain Interactions lab, an opinion piece titled "A two-timescale framework for gut–brain influences on arousal, motivation, and affect", now accepted on the Phil Trans Royal Soc B special issue "On the synergy of central and peripheral dynamics"

rs-fMRI methods question for the hive mind: What’s your practical cutoff for excluding a whole resting-state run due to motion? Using FD > 0.3 mm as the threshold, at what % of contaminated frames do you usually drop the run?

Incredibly excited to finally share this project! Most heartfelt thanks to everyone involved for their support 🫶🏻 Looking forward to much more gut-brain research to come!

New @bodybrainbehaviour.bsky.social preprint, and this is a big one for the lab: @teresaberther.bsky.social did the deepest of dives into #gut-brain coupling with MEG and HD gastrography. www.biorxiv.org/content/10.6... A brief 🧵on our first trip into this corner of #brain-body #neuroskyence:

So thrilled to see this work out. the stomach rhythm modulates brain wide electro physiological rhythms in resting wakefulness. It’s been a real privilege to collaborate with brilliant @teresaberther.bsky.social and @danlikesbrains.bsky.social in this project. hopefully first of many

#MSCA success rates now below 10%, yet the work that goes into writing this application is immense. Beyond the obvious increase in funding we need to find ways to lighten the time investment as well. Thousands of researchers spend weeks if not months working on this.
