A colleague asked me if a change I sent for review was "you, or AI" and I was very happy because whilst I used AI to help me debug, plan and impl, I worked hard to make sure I understood the change deeply and got it authored exactly how I want (via prompt + manual tweaks). This is the goal, folks.

All these products that let you run a fleet of AI agents and do 100 things at once are baffling to me; do we actually want this?! I know I can't do more than 1-2 things (with one primary focus) before the quality drops and my head can't keep up and think properly about the problem and solution.

Huge +1. I spoke about this at a conference last week; be aware of folks who don't pay for tokens (like me in my day job, but I pay for my personal Claude usage!) telling you how great huge, multi hour loops are.

While his framing is a bit cynical, I share similar irritation with Ed Zitron on AI companies pushing loops. Loops where Claude or OpenClaw keep trying to solve a task until successful are essentially a token burning workaround to deal with the fact they don't get the answer correctly on first try.

The Chrome DevTools team are doing a "papercuts" sprint where they try to address lots of small, irritating bugs and annoyances. Reply with crbug.com links (no bug, no fix—that's the deal!) and will see what we can do. No promises though as some may be features/too big/unclear how to solve.
