In the year 2026, I remain amazed that health insurance companies have not solved the provider search function for in/out of network. Fax is still a major communication method so maybe I should not be surprised. You would think their commercial plan offerings would match up to play choices though.

Columbia Bank, you have been a rock solid local bank for 30 years for us. Yet, you are now falling apart at the seams. “Our system is glitchy” should not be the staff answer to a problem accessing funds. 😬😳 Going to have to move banks and heartbroken about it.

I’m over Dem leadership and Emmanuel. No we don’t win if Trump doesn’t sign or we can’t overcome a veto. People still don’t have necessary healthcare. Tariffs continue to raise costs even higher. This isn’t a damn game. Quit worrying about your level of power and govern! NYTimes link follows

A bulleted list containing four points:
Reinstate expired Affordable Care Act health care premium subsidies.
Reverse the nearly $1 trillion in Medicaid cuts that were included in the president’s domestic policy law.
Move to end Mr. Trump’s tariffs and restore congressional power over trade policy.
Direct Mr. Trump to end the war in Iran or seek authorization from Congress to continue it.
A paragraph of text that reads: "If Democrats propose popular policies that attract Republican votes, “it’s game on, baby,” said Mr. Emanuel, who is eyeing a presidential run in 2028. “Trump then has to make a decision: Signs it, we win. Vetoes it, we win. The whole strategy is what unites us and divides them.”"

So awesome that kids agreed to not put names on their shirts because one isn’t out to their parents. Terrible that this young, awesome kid has to navigate all this instead of just being them. But their teammates’ reaction of “no problem, we’ve got you” is inspiring.

Thank you to my barber, Tu, this morning. She really tackled the “Trim hair and a beard while the guy has tremors” challenge this morning. Did a great job, handled with grace, and made it fun.

When Grammy-winning musician Rhiannon Giddens begins playing “Old Corn Liquor,” a traditional Black American folk tune, acclaimed Chinese pipa virtuoso Wu Man recognizes similarities to Chinese pentatonic music and spontaneously joins in. The joy on their faces says it all.
