In the UK my disabled daughter was inpatient for an eye infection, and later some side effects from antibiotics. Both times we were asked about whether we wanted lifesaving measures used. YES. FFS she was there for an eye infection. Was that really the time to discuss end of life?

Ah, third adaptation of Carrie, and the third one to miss the same key detail from the book and why they specifically chose pig’s blood. I get why they do it, because they labour under the misapprehension that if they had a fat actress playing Carrie the audience wouldn’t find her sympathetic.

Mike Flanagan has only done four Stephen King adaptations (including the CARRIE TV series). Could have sworn he'd done loads. I know MIDNIGHT MASS really wanted to be a King adaptation, but still.

I like Mike Flanagan, but I really don't know how bothered I can be with this. I reckon he'll do something different enough with it to make it distinct from De Palma's film, but I'm not sure the story merits the TV series treatment. I also can't be arsed with another bullying narrative right now.
