After a man yelled "get out the street, bitch" on my ride home today, I was wondering about the gendered nature of harassment that cyclists face. Female cyclists, how often are you being catcalled or called a bitch while cycling? Male cyclists, how often are people yelling at you & what do they say?

There have been 90 traffic fatalities in Nashville this year, up 11% over all YTD. 25 of these deaths were of pedestrians, and two were cyclists.

When it comes to ped, bike, and transit safety, we cannot do anything beyond what MUTCD says. When it comes VIP parking, we can do whatever the hell we want.

I’m frustrated, sad, and angry about what happened last night. We had Kim take the bus and show up in her wheelchair to speak on the importance of NROR. The same night we are debating this bill, CM Vo’s constituent was hit by a car earlier in the day by a car turning ROR. We have to do better.

Also, the original history of this neighborhood was as a plantation. Nearly all the homes in this neighborhood, except the original plantation house (Peach Blossom) were themselves ruining the "historic quality" of the area. This is just a dog whistle, plain and simple.

Could you turn left on paragon mills? You could join the traffic pulling out of plaza mariachi and just use the light. And then cross harding at Jonquil?

Man this is bleak. The "bikes may use full lane" sign really tops it off. This is what Metro legal should be worrying about getting sued for, not some wooden benches.

Alright, hive mind, help me figure this out. When I bike home from work, I have a portion of Nolensville I need to go south on and I need to pass through the Harding/Nolensville intersection.
