📣 #SRA Executive Director Andrea Florence & Network Coordinator @jujuca1987.bsky.social met with representatives of the Brazilian government, including the Extraordinary Secretariat for the 2027 Women’s World Cup, to discuss how the tournament can help advance a safer future for sport in Brazil.
📌 The Brazilian Volleyball Confederation announced that it would adopt the #IOC’s new eligibility policy for the women’s category, including mandatory genetic screening for the SRY gene, a measure that effectively excludes trans women & many intersex women from competing in the women’s category.
I can't express how much tennis means to me – the confidence, inspiration, friendships & family memories it has given me both as a player & fan. To think that my future daughter might now have to "prove" she's a girl before she can swing a racket makes my stomach turn. We are better than this.
