Also, a characters actions can be understandable, and they can also be stupid. Yes, Charlie was very, very stupid this season. That’s a charitable way to describe her. No, that doesn’t mean she’s an irredeemable character, or unrealistic. Just at a low point. Maybe lower than intended?

Something random I'm rather proud of: After finally putting together enough to obtain a telephoto lens, I've managed to find an eastern screech owl, and entire nest of ospreys, and a nesting pair of bald eagles in the span of the year! A great-horned owl still eludes me, but maybe next year

I don’t mean this maliciously, but the projection onto Charlie was obvious and probably why people felt she wasn’t herself this season. I don’t think it served her or the story. Her treatment of Vaggi especially (including in “easy, baby”) actually convinced me Charlie is toxic for Vaggi tbh
